This song is an ode to all the artists that have influenced us over the years. It was one of the last songs we wrote for the album, also one of the first cold days of the year in Big Bend. We had our guitars, some Juan Lobo Tequila, and a good fire rollin’…and this song is what fell out.
We’re heavily rooted in Willie, Waylon, and Merle. If it weren’t for those guys we wouldn’t be here doing what we’re doing today. They built the foundation on which we stand.
We hold up our glasses to our musical heroes and say, “Thank you”.
